Build your MPC 3 Community Edition image

Adds X-Touch control and USB mouse support to the MPC 3.9.1 firmware. The image is built in your browser from Akai's official file. Nothing is uploaded.

  1. Official firmware

    Choose MPC-3.9.1-Gen1-update.img from Akai. Other files are refused.

  2. SSH keyoptional

    Add an Ed25519 .pub key if you want SSH access. Without one, SSH stays off.

  3. Create the image

    Takes a few minutes and about 2.5 GB of free memory. Keep this tab open until it finishes.

    Save image

    Copy it to the top of a USB drive and run the MPC's firmware update. Keep the name ending in -update.img and delete any (1) your browser adds.

What you get

  • X-Touch control: mixer, sends, plug-ins, Q-Links, transport, motor faders, meters and the jog wheel. Guide
  • USB mouse: pointer, click, drag and scroll.

Requirements

  • MPC Live II on firmware 3.9.1. Other Gen1 MPCs are untested.
  • Full-size Behringer X-Touch. Other controllers are not supported yet.
